Intellitar has assembled an experienced senior management team with more than 120 years in information technology, 3D animation and e-commerce. The Company’s founders are responsible for starting, growing and selling several successful technology and service companies. The Company’s founders bring substantial information technology, 3D animation, sales and marketing and operational experience to the Company.
C. Thomas “Tom” Houser
Mr. Houser is a founder and Chairman of the Company. He serves as President of System Studies and Simulation (S3), a company providing flight training, acquisition support, and concept development to the government sector. In 1989, Mr. Houser became the President and COO of MEVATEC Corporation. Under his leadership, MEVATEC grew from $50,000 in sales to over $120M and won numerous awards for excellence. In 2003, MEVATEC merged with BAE Systems where Mr. Houser continued to run daily operations for the merged business unit, with annual sales of $250M. Mr. Houser was also tasked to support strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions for BAE Systems. Mr. Houser served as a military pilot and manager of defense research programs, including defensive missiles for the Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI). He completed two combat tours in Vietnam, where he flew helicopters and commanded two aviation units. Later, he served as a production test pilot. At SDI, he was the manager of all ground-based kinetic energy systems with a total funding of more than $2B. Mr. Houser received a B.S. in Management and Economics from the University of Tampa and an M.S. in Electronic Warfare Systems Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School. He is a Samford University Trustee and serves on the Investment Committee which manages the endowment. Mr. Houser serves on several other charitable, civic, and for profit boards and works as a consultant to both large and small businesses.
Walter M. “Mike” Remus III
Mr. Remus is a founder and CEO of the Company. He brings more than 30 years of hands-on technical and management experience in software engineering, simulation/animation, multimedia, and engineering analysis for defense, aerospace, and commercial industries. Mr. Remus served as CEO and President of Dweebster Studios, Inc. Prior to Dweebster Studios, Mr. Remus spent three years as Director of Business Development and Multimedia for Enabling Technologies in Huntsville, AL supporting the U.S Army and other defense agencies. Mr. Remus also served as Director of Operations for Sigmatech's Commercial Division; Manager of MEVATEC Inc.’s Computer Animation Department; Computer Graphics Supervisor and Software Engineer for the Thiokol Corporation supporting Marshall Space Flight Center. Mr. Remus' career also includes time spent as an international animation/simulation consultant and managing director in New Zealand and Thailand. Mr. Remus holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
Donald J. "Don" Davidson
Mr. Davidson is a founder and a director of the company. Mr. Davidson was previously founder and chief executive officer of Arxceo Corporation, which was acquired by Japan Communications Inc. in March 2006. Prior to founding Arxceo, Mr. Davidson served as president of the Digital Desktops Division for Avocent Corporation, the result of Avocent's acquisition of 2C Computing, Inc. where Mr. Davidson was co-founder, president and chief executive officer. Mr. Davidson served as Vice President, Sales and Marketing for ADS Corporation prior to co-founding 2C Computing. In a 17-year career with IBM, Mr. Davidson held various middle and senior management positions in sales, marketing and software technologies, including Director of Object Technology Projects. In 1990 he was named IBM's Marketing Manager of the Year. Mr. Davidson serves as an advisor and director of technology companies in Alabama, Virginia and California and is a director of ServisFirst Bank in Huntsville, AL. Mr. Davidson was appointed by Governor Bob Riley as a board commissioner for the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL. Mr. Davidson holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Roanoke College, where he also served on the President’s Advisory Council. Mr. Davidson has been a speaker at technology conferences, authored white papers, been a guest lecturer at the Owen School of Management and is the co-holder of three United States patents.
David J. Slyman, Jr.
Mr. Slyman is a founder and an independent director of the Company. Mr. Slyman brings more than 20 years of entrepreneurial experience in the creation, management, funding and execution of early-stage technology and real estate ventures. He has been an investor and advisor to early-stage technology companies in the fields of security, waste to energy, loyalty marketing, Internet and wireless technology. His expertise includes product development, intellectual property, electronic commerce, computer and electronic manufacturing, heavy manufacturing, real estate development and construction. David has been an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers since 2003 and serves as a board member of ServisFirst Bank. Mr. Slyman holds an MBA from the University of North Alabama.
